Mum: “OMG ….to use the vernacular of the day, how amazed am I? The day Chloe had her brace fitted I cleared my diary of events, in fact I left the whole week free, believing that she would be wracked with pain, bleeding gums, swollen tounge, possibly ulcers on the inside of her cheeks and generally have the week in bed. I stocked up on paracetamol, ibruprofen and extra DVD box-sets and imagined we would be holed-up in darkness whilst Chloe came to terms with the enormity of her pain and discomfort. But not a bit of it! Chloe had her brace fitted at 4pm and was at her piano lesson by 5:30pm, she skipped to school the next morning too!

If you read Chloe’s Blog – Part 1 you will know that we had already been through an unsettling experience with a different orthodontic practice. We decided to seek a second opinion from the very highly recommended Senova Dental Studios and this has proven to be exactly the right call. with their attention to detail and consideration at our first consultation, their ability to put us at ease and now the ‘pain free’ brace fitting, they certainly deserve their ‘ Dental Centre of Excellence’ title”.

Here’s what Chloe had to say about her experience:

” When I was having my braces fitted it was painless. At first I was afraid at the thought of having things stuck to my teeth, but after 3 minutes the reassuring smiles and the care they took made me relax so much. I felt like I was in good hands. I have suffered very little discomfort since the brace has been fitted and don’t feel self-conscious as I love choosing the funky coloured bands to match my outfit and mood each time I go”.

Chloe’s next consultation will involve the replacement of her wires for much stouter ones…….watch this space for the next report!
